Listening Workshop
1 May 2025 · Emmanuel College Chapel, Cambridge
What happens to your listening when you sit on the floor in the middle of a string quartet? What happens to your musicking when you play one of the most challenging movements in the string quartet literature facing away from your co-performers? Why is it so difficult to hold someone else’s gaze during intense moments of live musicking?
The Cambridge String Quartet performed, played and experimented with Ludwig van Beethoven, String Quartet No. 15 in A Minor, Op. 132, ’ Heiliger Dankgesang’.
Performers:
Rachel Stroud (violin)
Stephane Crayton (violin)
Sam Kennedy (viola)
Josh Lynch (cello)
